RUSTA has announced that it will be heading to Wembley to train London UAV operators in August.
To become a trusted, professional UAV pilot, and legally qualified to use an aircraft for commercial work, London candidates can now book onto the Remote Pilot Certificate SUAS course beginning Tuesday 18th August.
The course begins with two and half days of ground school, in the heart of Wembley, where candidates will learn about all aspects of UAV operation including:
- Air Law
- Theory of Flight
- Civil Aviation Procedures (CAPS)
- Lithium Polymer Batteries
- Emergency Procedures
- Human Factors
- Flight Planning and
- Operations Manual Development
RUSTA’s Head of Academy, Sion Roberts, commented, “This is an exciting opportunity for both RUSTA and London UAV operators. It allows candidates to begin their journey to become a CAA qualified UAV pilot in the heart of Wembley, which opens up opportunities for both RUSTA and a market that previously had to travel for professional UAV training.”
Candidates leave the course with a clear understanding of how to safely plan and carry out UAV tasks from hypothetical customers, how to develop their Operations Manual, and what to expect when they complete their Flight Test.
The venue is a five minute walk from Wembley Stadium station and will provide all candidates with lunch, tea and coffee throughout the course. Candidates will be provided with Wi-Fi access, which is especially important for the Flight Planning exercise scheduled on day two.
No previous UAV experience is necessary, as RUSTA teaches candidates from a variety of backgrounds and industries.
The Wembley course is a first for RUSTA, to cater for the demand it has received from the London UAV market. There are limited space available, so please book now to avoid disappointment.
