Sion has lead RUSTA from the beginning. With a 22 year RAF career behind him he started his flying career on Nimrod MR2’s before moving to the MQ9 Reaper. Sion spent hislast three years on exchange with the United States Air Force as an Instructor before realising the exciting opportunities that Small Unmanned Air Systems could bring to the commercial environment. Winner of the DJI global aerial photography competition in 2014 Sion is experienced in many different aspects of UAV operations.
Starting 2019 as EEI’s Chief Strategy Officer, Alex brings over 7yrs MQ-9 Reaper experience amassing in excess of 2000hrs operating and instruction, becoming one of only two Reaper Qualified Weapons Instructors now available in Industry. In addition, he spent time in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Test and Evaluation Squadron working closely with Industry to deliver UAS trials. Alex is passionate about the future of Unmanned Aviation, and instructing those who aspire operate within the sector.
Dom starts 2019 as the new Chief Operations Officer at EEI bringing experience gained from his 2000 operational hours on MQ-9 Reaper. As one of only two MQ-9 Qualified Weapons Instructors available in industry he brings in-depth expertise in BVLOS UAS operations specialising in planning, executing and leading within the tactical, operational and strategic domains. With a proven instructional pedigree, he welcomes the challenge of building upon the impressive foundations already laid within EEI and RUSTA.
A professional aviator through and through, Dan has been with RUSTA for two years and has always shone with his attention to detail and his knowledge. As an Army Air Corps pilot, on both rotary and fixed wing platforms, Dan is extremely experienced and qualified to teach and lead.
On leaving the RAF/MOD after 22 years as an Aeronautical Engineer Charlie became an MOD Specialist Instructional Officer. He has taught numerous RPC(S) courses, throughout the UK and conducted flight test evaluations.
