Bristol, UK – May 28 2015
Due to popular demand, RUSTA has released a new Bristol UAV training course to be held on Tuesday the 7th of July. This will give operators in the South an additional opportunity to get qualified and gain permission for aerial work from the CAA in good time.
Over the last few months RUSTA has seen a dramatic increase in UAV and drone operators wishing to use their unmanned aerial vehicle for income or commercial gain. It is true that the potential market for sky-high photography, inspection and exploration is huge, but why now has there been such an increase?
As always, the weather appears to have a major impact on human nature and behavior. This is especially important when it comes to UAV operation. Have you ever tried to fly a small unmanned aircraft in the rain or in wind conditions above 15 knots? Not a great idea. And it seems the range of applications that unmanned aerial vehicles are being used for in the UK is also growing, most being particularly impacted by the seasons.
“There has been a notable increase in wedding photographers, farmers and sports videographers enquiring about our Bristol course leading up to the summer months,” noted Sion Roberts, Head of Academy at RUSTA. “It appears the longer days and wedding season has got traditional photographers thinking about the possibilities of capturing unique images from previously unthinkable heights.”
New UAV’s on the market, such as the DJI Inspire and Phantom 3, have provided users with the ability to look beyond current photography methods and explore the possibilities from different angles and heights. Operators are becoming more creative and taking their business to a new level. To continue to compete in an already competitive market, like wedding photography, it is not a matter of if a photographer needs to peruse the avenue of drone photography, but when. RUSTA has responded to this increase in demand by offering additional courses in popular UK locations.
