Synonymous with UAS Operations

Established in 2014, RUSTA is one of the longest running CAA Accredited National Qualified Entities (NQE) in the United Kingdom.

Based on a solid aviation experience, RUSTA has trained over 1500 operators from many varied industries across the world. Uniquely, all of RUSTA’s instructors and management come from a rich background in aviation from such organisations as the Royal Air Force, Army Air Corps , Policing and Civil Aviation. This has not only allowed RUSTA to provide recommendations to the CAA but has also allowed accreditation through ProQual to allow RUSTA to award NVQ level 3 and 4 qualifications.

RUSTA’s experience in the UAS field has allowed the development of world class, industry leading courses and services.

With regards to Emergency Services RUSTA has trained many Police and Fire Service operators throughout the United Kingdom. RUSTA is also proud to have delivered its course to elements of the Armed Forces Including the Royal Air Force.

RUSTA offers scholarships through it’s association with the Air League and is a proud Silver Award recipient of the Armed Forces Covenant Employers Recognition Scheme

RUSTA has basic and advanced courses but can also create Bespoke programmes tailored for organisations exact requirements.

Online Refresher courses are now available via our Learning management system. If you have completed the course in the last few years you may not have been aware of the many changes to the rules and regulations. This course will bring you up to speed on regulatory amendments as well as refresh you with the other aviation topics.

Glen Rigby, Freelance Photographer

“I thought the course was excellent! I thoroughly enjoy it. Relaxed yet very informative. The instructor’s RAF experience shone through, his delivery and tone (and sense of humour!) was first class and absolutely instilled confidence. A consummate professional.”

Neil Crawford, Crawford Aerial Imaging

“The instructor was superb.  I have attended many, many courses whilst serving in the Police over the last 26 years and he has to be one of the best Trainers I have the pleasure of being in the classroom with.  His anecdotes were excellent, as was his ability to keep the learning on track.  10/10 highly recommended.”
